Randall Bell, Master of Disaster

Biography

Randall Bell is a principal of Bell Anderson & Sanders LLC, of Laguna Beach, California, a consulting firm that specializes in real estate and environmental damages. Prior to this, he founded and directed the Real Estate Damages practice at Price Waterhouse and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Bell has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, China, Micronesia and South America in his research of the impact that detrimental conditions have on value. Founded upon this research, he wrote various specialized methodologies, which have been incorporated into Federal regulations.

An award-winning author, Randall Bell authored Real Estate Damages, published by the Appraisal Institute, and Bottom Line Results: The 10 Strategies for Achievement. He has also published numerous articles in various professional journals, lectured internationally on the topic of strategic planning, and has qualified as an expert witness in both State and Superior Courts.

Mr. Bell has received global attention as a consultant in several high-profile situations. These include the World Trade Center, Hurricane Katrina, September 11th Flight 93 Crash Site, the Laguna Niguel landslides, the OJ Simpson crime scene, the Avila Beach oil spill, the Durham Woods pipeline explosion, the Heaven's Gate Mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, the Malibu floods and fire storms, the Northridge Earthquake, the Hollywood Boulevard sinkhole and many others. He was retained by the Nuclear Claims Tribunal to determine the damages caused by nuclear weapons testing on the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

Often quoted in the media, Randall Bell’s career has been profiled on many occasions, including in The Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, all major television networks and CNN. Additionally, his career has been profiled in the media in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Randall Bell as a MBA Degree from UCLA. He is a native of Southern California, where he resides with his wife and four children.
